Here is today's investigation and some of the work we did!
A few students from Mrs. Howard’s class were playing with gogos at recess.
Amey had 7 gogos.
Joey had 5 gogos.
Ben had 8 gogos.
Courtney had 6 gogos.
Joey tells the others that each person has an amount of gogos that is ‘like 5’.
How are 7, 8, and 6 like 5?
How are 7, 8, and 6 like 5?
What other numbers can be 'like 5'? What makes the number 5 special?
