We are so excited for the Terry Fox Run on Thursday!
Here is a little information about Terry Fox:
In 1980, Terry Fox embarked on a cross-Canada journey called the Marathon of Hope to raise money for cancer research. In 1877, Terry Fox's leg was amputated due to a form of cancer called osteosarcoma. The annual Terry Fox Runs have now raised over $500 000 000 for cancer research.
We will begin with warm up stretches outside on the tarmac and then head out into the neighbourhood! Please remember to return your permission forms by Thursday morning!
What other information can you learn from your family about Terry Fox?
Thanks again for the updates :)
