Happy Valentine's Day!

Wow! What a fun day! As part of our non-fiction unit we learned about the history of Valentine's Day! It was so interesting to learn about Ancient Rome and some of the reasons as to why Valentine's Day was 'invented'. I especially loved how students were using the reading strategies we have been practicing (like making connections and asking questions)! Well done Grade 1's!

We also made some lovely presents to tell our families that we love and care about them.
